Client Testimonials

"Yesterday Gloucester County EMS (GCEMS) took delivery of 3 new AEV TraumaHawk ambulances on the Sprinter chassis. GCEMS operates approximatelu 35 ambulances, the majority of which are currently Horton ambulances on the Ford chassis. Our last 7 additions to the fleet, not including the 3 from AEV, are also on th Sprinter chassis.

GCEMS is a public EMS agency, providing service to 17 municipalities within the County of Gloucester. As a custodian of our taxpayers hard earned dollars, I must research each expenditure we make, to assure that we are getting the highest value and long term operational efficiency. I personally have a reputation, which was probably relayed to you by your local dealer, VCI, of insisting on high quality on behalf of our employees, our patients and our taxpayers.

Upon receipt of these 3 ambulances yesterday, it became readily apparent that your workforce takes personal pride in the quality of the product they produce. Beyond the cleanliness of the ambulances at the time of delivery, the attention to the smallest detail is readily evident. Each and every function of each ambulance worked flawlessly. The wiring harnesses and electrical layout are identical between the vehicles. the fit and finish inside the patient compartment and on the outside of the box is flawless.

Please feel free to pass on my comments to the craftsman who produced the GCEMS ambulances. their professionalism, craftsmanship and meticulousness has allowed AEV to create a customer for life."

"The new ambulance committee went with VCI because they met all of our needs. They supplied us with a Demo truck to look at on the very first meeting. The GMC chassis came with a diesel engine which we wanted, and mated with a Horton box, which is top of the line. It looks outstanding between the two PL Customs we presently have. I would recommend Jeff Herzog to anyone interested in purchasing from VCI. He responded quickly to any emails and answered all questions in a professional manor. He was very knowledgeable about the product and additional equipment we added to the truck. He made our delivery painless. "

"We are extremely pleased with the quality of the Horton and the responsiveness and quick delivery by Jeff and the entire VCI team."

"We are extremely satisfied with our new Horton ambulance from VCI. we received outstanding customer service from our District Sales Representative, Jeff herzog and Owners Rich and Robert Bohny. We were exceptionally impressed with their "Family" approach throughout our entire purchasing process, we actually felt like part of the VCI family. The biggest selling point with the Horton Ambulance was their safety testing, which they pride themselves on and the safety features they offer to better protect the EMT's and patient. We were sold after the first test drive and the rest was a bonus. We truly had a great experience working with VCI/Horton from start to finish and we hope to continue to work with them for all of our future purchases. Thank you to Jeff, Rich, Bob and the entire VCI/Horton TEAM, you all truly made this an enjoyable experience."

"Kudos to the VCI Team and Sales Consultant, Paul Hagemann, who once again made our ambulance purchase a pleasurable experience. Paul's professionalism and in-depth knowledge were impressive and he extended himself day or night and was quick to respond when a question needed to be answered. Our organization will look forward to doing business with VCI again in the near future for our next new or remount unit. Thanks again Paul, Ed at Set-up and to the Service Department for the quick, prompt service you provide to us. "

"Shippensburg Area EMS chose VCI to meet our ambulance needs in 2008 after exclusively using another vendor for over 10 years. VCI was able to exactly meet the custom needs of our department and our interactions have been nothing short of outstanding. We are awaiting delivery of our third unit and are confident we will receive the same great service."

  Shawn Hartsock, Director of Operations

  Shippensburg Area EMS, PA

"They had us at hello. From the moment we met the team at VCI we knew our next ambulance, and all of our future vehicle needs and maintenance, would be done with the firm. VCI's knowledgeable staff worked with us side-by-side as we designed a new Horton from the ground up. They found solutions to our very specific and often unusual requests. The VCI team was unflappable. They understood the dynamics of working with a committee and they delivered the vehicle we wanted ahead of schedule and under budget. We were thoroughly impressed during the design and build process. Little did we know, even more impressive was what happened after the delivery. They never forgot us. They've responded immediately to every question we've had, large and small and they've checked back with us just to see how we're doing, which is unheard of in any business. Repeatedly, Rich Bohny and his team reaffirm why they are the class of the emergency vehicle industry. There really is no need to look elsewhere."

"Nine years ago when we looked to upgrade our MICU and SCTU ambulance fleet, VCI was the company we chose. beyond price, their expertise, crafstmanship and customer service has been paramount in our decision to grow with VCI. Through our remounting schedule, we have been able to get a longer life out of our box style ambulances, which has helped us financially. I would recommend VCI to any EMS operation, small or large."

"The Kerhonkson Accord First Aid Squad has been a customer of VCI for at least the past 12 years. We buy a new ambulance every four years. Our last four ambulances have been Horton's from VCI. We keep coming back to VCI because of the quality of the ambulances and the outstanding service from Tom DeBole and the entire staff at VCI. They are always responsive to our needs and work with us on our wants. The next time we purchase an ambulance, VCI will get the opportunity to serve us again."

Glenn Pomerantz, Ambulance Committee

"I have been a customer of VCI for over 25 years and have depended on their expertise and unmatched service 24/7. I could not recommend a more dependable and professional partner in providing reliable service and support to our squads for this last quarter century than VCI."

"The team at VCI has been a great help to our agency over the last 5 years. Our Sales Rep., Jeff Herzog, helped us come up with ambulance designs that worked for our crews, and he never tried to talk us into buying expensive toys. The VCI team always presented us  with all available options and helped us make the decisions that would keep us under budget and keep our members happy. The VCI staff always made themselves available to answer an questions, day or night, and they've continued to be accessible since we've taken delivery of each vehicle. Plus, their service staff always does their very best to get our fleet back in service as quickly as possible. We couldn't be happier with the personal, professional, and dependable service we've received from VCI. I recommend them highly."

Mike Smith, Captain

Long Hill First Aid Squad, NJ

"I wanted to express my sincere thanks to you and the VCI Team once again for delivering us such high-quality ambulances that are not only reliable, but keep our members and patients as safe as can be. we just finished up the busiest year ever with 1,300 calls and couldn't have done it without the superior trucks and service that VCI has been providing to us for nearly twenty years. It really means a lot knowing that we have such a strong company like that behind us."

Rourke Day, Lieutenant

Lakeland EMS, NJ

"In 2008 we took delivery of our first Horton Ambulances. The quality and workmanship is unmatched. When it came time in 2012 to purchase another ambulance we chose to go directly back to VCI and Horton.

Our salesman, Ted Snively has answered any question, addressed any concern, and corrected every small problem that might have appeared. He has done this at all hours of the day and night and any weekend or holiday. Ted has an open line of communication with us and that’s invaluable.

Since making the switch to VCI and Horton we have utilized the graphics department for other vehicles, the service department to have upgrades in our 2008 vehicles, and road service to diagnose and fix small problems that have come up.

We are currently forming a committee to investigate replacing the 2008 ambulances. We are discussing remounting (to be done at VCI) and possibly a brand new purchase. Either way, we are convinced that we will again be dealing with VCI as they have never let us down.

I would recommend to any ambulance service out there that is looking for a new, used, or remounted unit to give VCI a look. Their service doesn’t stop when you take delivery."
Ryan Elborne, EMS Chief

Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., PA

"We have just taken possession of a new ambulance, the fourth that we have purchased from Tom DeBole and VCI. Each experience has been a pleasant one working with Tommy and his professional team guiding us through the process of selection, specification and purchase. Our newest ambulance is state-of-the-art with the latest in technologies and was delivered on time and precisely as we had specified and anticipated.

The donor of the new ambulance was so pleased when we showed it to her that she said that she wants to donate another one. Though we will not need another one to add to our fleet for a while, we anticipate going back to VCI when we do. In the meantime, we will be returning regularly to VCI for their performing periodic preventive maintenance on our ambulances."
